Turkey has more than 10 operating golf courses and 17 ski resorts, which attract a large number of international visitors looking for recreational activities along with exotic location to spend their leisure time. Besides, massive building of resorts has been planned in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions which are expected to transform Turkey into a key tourist destination.
Furthermore, depreciation in the Turkish Lira against all major European currencies has also made holidays in Turkey more affordable compared to other holidays destinations, said our research report. The Euro and the British Pound have rallied more than 20% and 10% respectively against the Turkish Lira in the past year, making Turkey one of the world’s most affordable places for European tourists.
